Off to the U-cut Tree Lot!
Boots? Check.
Beanies? Check.
Fleece baby sling? Check.
Ryan's Santa hat? Check.
Jackets? Check.
Saw? Check.
After searching high and low for the perfect tree last Friday, we ended up debating between three "keepers" - and finally selected the one to the right of us in this photo.
It wasn't perfect...it had a hole on one side. There were some trees nearby that were diseased that made Rob nervous it turn brown in two weeks time. The top wasn't ideal, but would do...
Rob got down on his knees with his saw and spied the circumference of the tree trunk. It was at least 8 inches around! We needed a bigger saw...
On our trek back to the car for a longer saw, we decided it may have been a sign and packed up tree-less. It was still a fun day venturing the rows of beautiful firs, but we were both a little bummed to be going home empty handed.
A few blocks from our house, a tree lot was just hanging their sign. We stopped "just to compare prices" and there, on that very lot, within walking distance to our house - was the perfect tree! A noble, about 10 feet tall, and it had just been cut. We couldn't go home without it!
We're still working on trimming it but will post an updated photo of it soon!

Holy cow, your tree is HUGE! And gorgeous!! I love nobles, but they're always so pricy. But worth it! Ahh, Ryan looks so cozy in the sling. I might need to get a fleece one!
