Weeks 29-32...how big is baby Judge?
Today we've hit 29 weeks or 7 months, 1 week!
He is now the size of a SQUASH!
A few highlights:
• We have felt hiccups from Baby Judge!
• We have gone on our hospital tour
• Time is FLYING by with only 11 weeks until our due date: Sept. 10
How he's doing:
Baby Judge's energy is surging, thanks to the formation of white fat deposits beneath the skin. He has arduously managed to accumulate enough baby fat to account for nearly 3.5% of his overall body weight.
He will double in size between now and the time he is born.
Also this month, all five senses are finally functional, and the brain and nervous system are going through major developments. His head is now in proportion to the rest of his body.
Here are some photos from the Baby Shower my office held for me yesterday.

The office - gathering at Sunnyside Beach.
Molly, who planned the party, arranged and purchased the group gift (the amazing stroller), and "commissioned" her husband, John, to put it together for the party! And then showed up with additional gifts for me to boot (the Ocean Wonders Aquarium). Thank you Molly and John!
Aileen, who made a fabulous "Baby Cake" full of diapers, covered with blankies, and filled with baby toys and goodies!

The top I was wearing to celebrate the little boy we can't wait to meet! And no, I don't think he'll really be a prince much of the time :) But it was just too cute to pass up!

Baby Shower!
My office (they ROCK) planned a baby shower for me today. We went to the beach for a picnic and they "showered" me with wonderful weather, great company, scrumptious food, adorable baby goodies (toys, the ocean wonders for the crib, diapers, socks, blankets, and books). And then brought out the stroller we registered for!
What a wonderful afternoon and what a generous and thoughtful team I work with. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you Molly, Susan, Dori, Aileen, Althea, Kerri, Noel, Debbie, Sue, Steve, JoAnn, and Laura!
Photos were taken but I don't have them from the camera they were taken with just yet. I'll put them up as soon as I get them! Off to the hospital tour!

Sleepy Monday Update
Good morning and happy Monday! What a whirlwind I feel I've been in! I'm tired and wish I had one more day left in the weekend so I would get a day to be home...but alas...it's Monday and I made it work and will power through and go to bed early tonight.
Anyway, I got back from my conference on Thursday night, had a movie night with my sweetie on Friday night and then got up at 6 a.m. on Saturday for a fun Girls' Weekend at the cabin with some friends. I got home yesterday afternoon and then helped Rob with the shed/shop/barn until the sun went down. We have two walls up and hope to get a third up tonight. I'll post photos tonight or tomorrow. It's looking great! Although my energy and physical abilities are dwindling and I'm slowing down. But I think I have a few more weeks of gusto left to be out building and hammering.
Tomorrow my parents leave for Europe for two weeks with the Tacoma Youth Chorus. They are touring and singing in Eastern Europe and should have an incredible time!
Tomorrow evening Rob and I get to take a tour of our hospital, St. Joseph Medical Center, and pre-register so when the big day arrives we're all ready with our paperwork and will know our way around. Should be fun!
Overall things here are going really well. Still no name but crazy in love w/ this little guy already! We talk to him all the time and Rob tells him goodnight every night. It's so sweet. :)
Will post photos soon,
Love,
Brooke & Fam

Week 28 – 7 Months
This marks the end of the second trimester and the start of the third.
I swear I'm growing every single day! I am starting to feel huge, rather than like I just have a cute baby bump. And to think I still have 12 weeks to go...can I really get that much bigger?!? All of my "been there, done that" sources say, "YES! And you will!" Better just buckle-up, huh?
Anyway, this week I'm at a work conference at the Semiahmoo Resort (see photo) near the Canadian border. We have been blessed with great weather and beautiful sunsets. I sat on beach this afternoon and talked and talked to our little baby boy as he bumped around (in what I like to think is in response to my coos and loves!).
My sweetheart is home working, golfing, and building his shed (which is truly the size of a one-car garage rather than a "shed"). I'll post photos of his progress soon. He is so handy and I'm just so proud to be his wife :)
As for our beloved little guy...he can now open his eyes and will turn his head towards the source of any continuous bright light. His fingernails are budding, and fat layers are beginning to form as he gets ready for life outside the womb. He will likely gain about half a pound a week from this point on. By this week, Baby Judge weighs nearly 2.3 pounds and may measure 14.8 inches from top to toe.
I'll write again soon and take a photo of the bump turned beach ball! Hope this finds all of you well. Little Judgie and I can't wait to get home and back into our own bed :) Cheers, B
