Goodnite
After we put Ryan to bed tonight we heard him over his monitor saying, "Goodnight dada. Goodnight mama. Goodnight baby sister." Guess he's decided she's okay and really is part of the family!

5
I am just getting over a nasty, nasty cold (it has lasted 2.5 weeks). Rob said he has never seen me so sick. I passed it to Ryan and he is hopefully close to being over it as well...but...now Ashlyn has it. It has been a rough start for her, but she is a trooper and has been patiently enduring our saline drops and aspirating. Needless to say, there have been some long nights where I feel like I'm sleeping with one eye open - listening for her breathing. We're hoping it is short-lived for her and we're all back to good health very soon!
I have more photos to post and hope to get to it soon, but have been preoccupied with Ashlyn's health as well as making sure Ryan doesn't feel like this little "intruder" has taken over his mommy! And, even if he didn't have to share me with her - every time Ryan sees me on the computer he says, "computer close mama" and then comes to "help" me close it. It leaves my evenings to blog and all I want to do then is hold my precious newborn daughter!
Here are a handful of photos from day five with Ashlyn.

Sister
We're in day three of baby bliss! All is going really well. I have so much more energy than I did during my last few weeks of pregnancy and feel wonderful. Ashlyn is nursing well and even giving me two and three hour stretches of sleep at night. We have had wonderful support from family and friends - bringing us dinners and helping with Ryan.
Ryan and I are still getting over pretty nasty colds. He hasn't felt well, but has been adjusting well to being a brother despite feeling crumby.
Here are a few photos from this afternoon...

Baby blues (hoping they will stay blue)
Eyes open - it's such a treat when she's awake!
Too small for newborn clothes! Ryan fit newborn clothes for about 24 hours and then was too long. She seems so tiny to us!
Getting her zzz's
A bit of a smile :)

Rob is taking Ryan to swimming lessons and it's hard to say who's having more fun!
Ryan is the one in the center of this photo holding the orange ball.

Easter
We went to Grandma Lori and Grandpa Tom's for Easter. Ryan's cousins were there and had a great time hunting for Easter eggs! Ryan started his adventure with a bucket for his eggs and quickly switched to pushing the baby buggy of eggs.
With two of this three cousins, ready to go!!

Sharing the buggy with his cousin Camryn.
And NOT sharing the buggy so well when she would like her turn pushing it!
