Seven Weeks

I know, not a very creative title...but I'm tired tonight! Rob is recovering from the stomach flu and was very sick last night and I was up much of the night worrying about him, bringing him water, and wishing there was more I could do! He is still very weak, but on the mend. Ryan and I are crossing our fingers it passes us by this time.

So Ryan had his two month appointment today (one week early) and here are his latest "stats"

• He weighs 12 pounds, 14 ounces and is 24 inches long, and his head circumference is 39.4 cm.

• 12 pounds, 14 ounces puts him at 91% above the average weight for his age

• 24 inches long puts him at 94% above the average height for his age

• A 39.4 cm noggin puts him at 51% above the average head circumference for his age

We recently had dinner with the Bussingers and Ryan loved being held by Trudy!

Sitting with his pointer finger out and an adorable double chin! Ryan's cheeks have really, really, filled out this week too.

We had Emily and her beautiful family over this week. I wish I would have taken more photos--her kids are adorable and so well behaved! She and her husband Ronel make parenting look easy. Here is Em snuggling with the little man. So cute!

Ryan has made the official move from our bed to the bassinet! We gave it a few other tries and Ryan slept in it for a bit but had a hard time staying there all night (okay, maybe it was a little hard for me as well). Friday night (Halloween) I just was ready for him to really make the move and stay in his own bed all night and he has adjusted beautifully! And I think we're all sleeping better as a result. Ryan's cousins have all slept in this bassinet as well! Thank you to Ryan's Aunt Gloria for letting us use this perfect little bed. We love it!

We also got to spend a day with Heather and Aidan this week (although neither one of us got photos!) and we went to CWA too and Ryan got to see his "Aunt Molly" and all of our CWA family.

Wow! He is getting some big cheeks - and he looks like he will outgrow the bassinet soon. Esther's stats were opposite: 50% for weight, 75% for height and 95% for head circumference! She does come from two families with big noggins.

Dang, I can't believe that kid!! Aidan has NEVER been above the 75th for anything - and you'd think he would, being such a big chunker! But Ryan takes the cake... literally! What are you feeding that kid? haha

I'm still kicking myself for not getting photos of our visit. And I realized as I was driving away that I didn't even HOLD Ryan! I'm a dummy! Actually, despite the fact that I'm a mommy now, I still feel nervous holding other people's babies. So I was quite fine just peering at him. : )

yay, I'm glad Ashley's the one you had too. Whew!
