First Turkey

We hosted Thanksgiving this year and I made my first turkey! It was a day of delicious dining! My mom's stuffing (or dressing as we usually call it) is my favorite. My brother and I did the bulk of the shopping, my dad and brother made the pies, my dad made the gravy, my mom made the dressing, green beans, and yams, Rob peeled the potatoes, and everyone pitched in to get things on the table just in time! I've realized the food for this feast is fairly easy, it's just timing it right because so much of it (like whipping the potatoes and carving the turkey) you have to do just before you sit down to eat if you want it to be hot and taste it's best. Thank you Uncle Jack and family for joining us and helping out in the kitchen. We have so much to be Thankful for.

Yay for your first turkey!!! I tried to do one a few years ago (with my mom's help) and totally freaked out, holding the uncooked turkey in the sink. Yuck!! It's a wonder I'm not a vegetarian!

Ok, could Ryan BE any longer? He looks huge on your Nana's lap!
